At TEAMS, we are privileged to work in some very beautiful buildings. This is one of the places we are currently working – The Great Hall in the City of London School.
This is the Walker organ. The organ was built in 1969 by J. W. Walker and Sons, the prestigious London firm of organ builders established in 1828. It was originally designed for the old School buildings at Victoria Embankment, which were opened in 1883 by the future King Edward VII (then Prince of Wales) and used by the School until 1986. The organ was moved here, to the modern Queen Victoria Street buildings designed by Thomas Meddings, when they opened in 1986.
